The International Investors in FM Excellence Awards
Held annually at the Grosvenor House Hotel, London and attended by 1200 senior members of the FM industry. Now in our fourth consecutive year of delivering this prestigious event, our responsibilities include securing sponsorship, generating ticket and table sales, working closely with with some of the worlds’ best known entertainers and celebrity presenters, managing the logistics of the complex nominations and judging processes, and designing stunning stage sets.

Bighearted Scot of the Year Awards
SU project manage this event every year, held in conjunction with the Scottish News of the World and Scottish Television, raising significant cash for the Bighearted Scotland Charities:- Epilepsy Scotland, Sense Scotland, Penumbra, Alcohol Focus Scotland, SPCA and the Child & Family Trust. The event is attended each year by Scotland’s First Minister Jack McConnell MSP, as well as a host of Scottish celebrities from the worlds of sport and entertainment. The evening is filmed by STV and supported by Harvey Nicholls, and is now billed as the top Scottish TV Awards  show. In addition to providing a full event management facility, our role involves securing sponsorship, generating table sales, securing fabulous auction prizes, writing presenter and voiceover scripts. In addition we also handle the financial management of the event.

The Global Banking Alliance for Women World Summit
Bank of Scotland Corporate 2006
An influential and significant private sector-led event in the UK, giving a global perspective on women as an economic growth engine. Scotland Unlimited worked closely with the Women in Business team at the Bank of Scotland Corporate to deliver an outstanding week-long programme which included presentations from Cherie Booth QC and Nicola Horlick of Bramdean Asset Management. Our role involved detailed communication with the overseas members of the GBA, and all presenters regarding ground logistics, presentations, stage moves etc. We were involved in high level security meetings with No 10 Security, The Met and Strathclyde Police Special Branches. This event took place between Edinburgh Castle and The Glasgow Royal Concert Hall.

The Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award 2006
The eyes of the architecture and Design world turned to Scotland and the Balmoral Hotel on Thursday 16th November 2006, for the biggest event in the architectural winner calendar – with the receiving a cheque for £25,000 and the accolade for the most outstanding building created in Scotland in the last 12 months. Scotland Unlimited’s brief was to engage as many quality submissions as possible, assist with the judging process, generate maximum ticket sales, liaise with Sound & Vision AV to deliver a superb Awards ceremony and provide subtle, contemporary theming to create a WOW impact for this very special event. 

Around the UK...
Delivery for the 9th consecutive year of a programme of regional conferences, exhibitions and gala balls for a major membership organisation. These 2-day programmes each attract in excess of 800 attendees. Our duties include securing headline and secondary sponsorship, selling exhibition space and attendee tickets, and managed the presenters and entertainment programmes.

Scottish Enterprise Network
Conference for 1700 delegates at the Glasgow Royal Concert Hall, which involved dividing the plenary group into 85 individual workshops of 20. Amongst our responsibilities, we managed the complex logistics of this and organised transport from all over Scotland bringing the delegates to and from Glasgow.

The Royal Incorporation of Architects in Scotland
The annual Convention and Dinner for 400 architects and designers was project managed recently by our team at Perth’s brand new state-of-the-art Concert Hall. The SU team secures all event sponsorship, generated ticket sales, managed the exhibition, managed the international arrivals and ground logistics of the convention speakers, liaised with delegates and table hosts, managed the event’s financial package.

Scottish Enterprise Business Excellence Awards
Recognising and rewarding the outstanding achievements of local businesses, we have delivered the Scottish Enterprise Dunbartonshire’s Business Excellence Awards for a number of years at the De Vere Cameron House Hotel on the banks of Loch Lomond. From managing the nominations and judging processes, to selling tables and engaging with celebrity presenters, the events have been managed and delivered in true Scotland Unlimited style.

The Management of Liverpool John Lennon Airport
Scotland Unlimited transformed Edinburgh’s Traverse Theatre into the world famous Cavern Club, and created an exclusive party night for 400 of the world’s top airline and airport key decision makers and executives. We handled the invitation process and secured a superb programme of entertainment themed around the era of the Beatles.
